DIY Hand Sanitizer

Hi Everybody,
Friday was great, thanks to everyone for coming out.
This method is from diynatural.com. It’s a pretty decent site as far as information goes and it’s simple. We seem to need things simple before we will try them, at least I do anyway. One step at a time.
Thanks for helping us make stuff on Friday. It’s definitely not hard but it’s nice to do it together. I know I learned a lot, did you?
Leslie recommended a really great site as well, if you’re interested in making more of your own things: well.ca. She said and I quote, “It’s a Canadian site. Good prices and usually free shipping when you spend a certain amount. Also good deals and delivers super quick.”
Lory, who had the Do Terra oils has this site: http://www.mydoterra.com/lorykatakura/#/diyGrid. This one has everything from conditioner to all purpose cleaner.
Let us know if you find anything you’d like to make with us, thankfully Shauna is awesome and is going to keep letting us use her Art Studio :)
Next workshop is making cleaning supplies, with Judy Meyer. We also have Pam Van Osch from Feeder Soap and Candle co. teaching us how she makes soap from scratch. Now that we’ve done the melt and pour I think it’s time to learn something a little more complex ;). Both of these ladies are awesome, they are both farmers and I can’t wait for you all to meet them.

DIY HANDSANITIZER
Ingredients
5–10 drops lavender essential oil
30 drops Melaleuca essential oil — (tea tree oil, 0.5% concentration)
1 Tablespoon witch hazel extract or high-proof vodka
8 ounces 100% pure aloe vera gel
¼ teaspoon Vitamin E oil — a natural preservative to increase shelf life and soften hands
Method
Combine essential oils and Vitamin E oil in a small glass bowl and swirl to mix. Add witch hazel (or alcohol) to the oils and swirl again. Add this mixture to the aloe vera gel and mix well. Pour into container. Shake gently before each use.
(This hand sanitizer should last several months with the addition of Vitamin E to help preserve.)
