How to Create an Embossed Effect in Adobe Illustrator
Follow along and learn how to create an embossed effect in Adobe Illustrator, Add a legit depth and dimension to any vector object using simple tools and technique.
1. First of all you need the font to be outlined or a vector object.
2. Go to path offset the path and change the color.
3. Duplicate the last object to create a “shine”, move it (up-left) and a “shadow” move it (down-right).
4. Select the last three objects the green one, the shine and the shadow, with all this items selected click the “Merge” option on the pathfinder panel, once you do that erase the green object.
5. Improve the corners where the shine and the shadow meets.
6. Select the shine and the shadow and apply “Gaussian Blur”.
