The Divider in Chief

America is divided. We are divided based on race, politics, region, and thought. We have lost that uniquely American ideal of unity and brotherhood while still being different. We no longer hold our heads up proud. But bow to racial tensions and political elitism.

One should not be surprised at this fracture in America. It started 8 years ago with the election of President Obama.

While Barrack Obama was campaigning for president he stated that Middle America is bitter and that they cling to their guns and religion. That is a backhanded slap to every Flyover nation resident. But let’s get deep here. Why did he say that? Well look at Middle America they vote steadily conservative so in order to make himself feel better about them not voting for him he calls them names. Division starts not from the bottom up but rather the top down.

Unfortunately, that is not the only example of division from our leaders. Vice President Joe Biden while campaigning for Obama in the southern states told a crowd that the Republicans will lock you all back up in chains. Really. First of all, let’s tackle the historic illiterateness of this comment. If anyone knows history it was the Democrats who supported slavery. It was the Democrats who supported Jim Crow. And it was the Democrats that fought a bloody Civil War to keep their slaves. So Mr. Vice President please get the facts right. But besides that historical untruth this man is being divisive. Besides him saying anything to get a vote he is pitting blacks against whites.

But what is the fallout of these shootings? Finger pointing, what Obama does best. These issues only occur because of guns in his mind. Not failed liberal policy in inner cities that keep black Americans down. The problem of course would never be that so it has to be the American gun owners. They know these people already are not voting for the Democrats so who cares if they get blamed.

Unfortunately, this political game of divided and conquer is not only in the Democratic Party. Donald Trump is using the same handbook Obama used. Trump has pitted Republicans against each other and has become victorious. That is not the solution that is merely continuing the problem that Obama created.

We need leadership to being together a nation not divide it more. Enough with the politics, get to work and work harder for a more united country. I fear that a united country will not happen in the near future because it is better politically when you can pit people against each other we see that with both parties today. We don’t need a saver we need a leader to bring together a fractured country.
