Is it a Cheat Day? Or did I just blow it?
I’ve been working on some version of the Slow Carb Diet for over a year. Overall, I love it! I’ve lost weight while eating burrito bowls with guac from Chipotle, eggs for breakfast.
Sometimes I blow the diet on a day that’s not a Cheat Day. I used to say “I cheated” today, but because Cheat Day is allowed the word “Cheat” had lost some of its meaning.
Now, if I break the diet on a non-Cheat Day, I call it a failure.
Differentiating from the permissible “Cheats” (on the Cheat Day) and the failure during the rest of the week has helped me avoid failing.
