My first visit to a mosque

In all my travels, my first mosque visit was in India. I had visited many other religious sites and temples but never an Islamic temple.
When I entered Jama Masjid |जामा मस्जिद | جامع مسجد (Jama Masjid), I will admit that I didn’t realise it was a mosque. I wasn’t paying attention. I saw a large, intriguing-looking building and thought I would pop in for a look.
The photograph above is of the Jama Masjid |जामा मस्जिद | جامع مسجد and all the specks you can see in the sky are not dirt on my camera lens but birds. There seemed to be hundreds of birds circling high in the sky.
There were some rules for entering the mosque, which didn’t seem unreasonable.
There was a charge to enter and an additional charge if you wanted to go up the main tower. I recommend going…
