This is part 2 of 2 on my visit to the Shwedagon Pagoda, Yangon (Rangoon), Myanmar (Burma).

One thing was different about this visit — I followed my advice and visited in the evening to avoid the scorching hot marble (you are not allowed to wear shoes and socks in the temple complex).

The other reason I wanted to visit in the evening was to see the stunning Shwedagon Pagoda in the setting sun’s light, as I had heard it was spectacular.

As the sun set, small oil lamps were lit around part of the temple.
