In early spring 2016, I was lucky enough to find myself in the northeast of England, with time to explore some walks in Northumbria and Northumberland National Park. And in the order that I did the walks:

1. Craster to Lower Newton by the Sea

I started in February 2016 by walking along the coast from Craster to Lower Newton by the Sea. This was a great walk with superb sea views, a fantastic ruined castle to explore and a pub lunch at The Ship Inn at Lower Newton by the Sea.

From the coast, I moved inland to Northumberland National Park.

2. Housesteads Roman Fort Walk
