MORE THAN EVER BEFORE, YOUR WORDS ARE IMPORTANT

IF YOU FEEL YOU HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY DON’T LET ANYTHING DISCOURAGE YOU!

Due to far-reaching effects of an invisible enemy called COVID-19, there will be increased demands for speakers who will inspire and lead us through the changes that lie ahead.

Throughout human history, our greatest leaders and thinkers have used the power of words to transform our emotions, to enlist us in their causes, and to shape the course of destiny. Words can not only create emotions, they create actions. And from our actions flow the results of our lives. — — Tony Robbins

Inspirational Speakers from all walks of life are called up to use their life experiences and knowledge to talk with and motivate people to take action or change their lives. They can have practically any background. For example, speakers might be experts in their field, have survived diseases, have experienced significant life challenges, or be living with disabilities. This is even true for people with questionable backgrounds such as former call girl Annie Lobert and former felon Charles S. Dutton to name just a couple.

As a survivor of this dreadful pandemic, MORE THAN EVER BEFORE, PEOPLE WILL NEED TO HEAR WHAT YOU HAVE TO SAY TO HELP THEM GET BACK ON TRACK.”

“I’m just a living witness that you can be an imperfect soldier and still be in the army fighting for God almighty. Don’t you think you got to be perfect ’cause I ain’t. “ — Steve Ha

WHY IS NOW MORE TIMELY THAN EVER BEFORE TO FOLLOW THIS PATH?

· The coronavirus pandemic will be remembered as a world-reordering event. Like the Great Depression, the fall of the Berlin Wall, and the 2008 global financial crisis, it will accelerate social and economic changes that would otherwise have taken years to materialize.

· However long it will take, we will eventually beat back this virus, and our economies will eventually recover from the punishing recession it will have brought about. But when the dust settles and the masks come off, the pandemic will have permanently reshaped our social and economic behavior. MORE THAN EVER BEFORE, YOUR WORDS ARE IMPORTANT, and what you have to say will help shape the future for your family, friends, and the entire country. You would have to agree that there has never been a more opportune time to learn to be a motivational speaker.

“Motivational speakers are people who make inspirational, motivational speeches that give stimuli to the audience to make changes and therefore improve the value of their lives. They not only motivate people but also give essential education and teach the ways to achieve that change ….” DAVID CRANE

“What if I fail?”

I hear from you. The very thought of public speaking has been enough to make grown men and women weep. Perhaps you consider yourself one of them and I’m sure yours are legitimate and normal fears. But I am just as sure that if you feel you have something to say, your fears can be overcome. Believe me, I should know.

My name is Dr. Nicolas Kimaz. Aside from being a Master Naturopathic Doctor, I have been called upon for the last 2 decades to give motivational talks around the world. NicolasKimaz.com

But what if I told you that not so long ago I was afraid to talk in front of any kind of audience? It’s true. In fact, at 18 years of age, I didn’t even speak English, knowing only a few words like “hello”. I was embarrassed to say my name, much less speak in front of any kind of group. I had just a few dollars in my pocket, no home, no job prospects, but excited to be in America. In the years since, I’ve managed to produce Hollywood movies, build successful businesses, campaign for a seat in the United States Congress, founded the 4WISDOMS movement and now find myself in demand as an author, a motivational speaker, and spiritual guide to international business and government leaders and even royalty.

This was possible because I learned the power of words, the power of communication, and how to speak and motivate groups of people. I CAN SHOW YOU HOW AS WELL! Through my 4WISDOMS ACADEMY, I can teach you to do the same as we unite our voices to give people hope and direction as we confront an unknown future due to the devastation of this deadly virus.

It matters little who you are, your position in life, your perceived level of skill — you have been speaking for most of your life; now what you have to say could help to shape the future and the requisite speaking skills can be developed.“Too many of us are not living our dreams because we are living our fears.” Les Brown

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO KNOW?

“How to do it” has been a question dynamic speaker throughout history has asked themselves. Many tips, techniques, and rules have been relied upon by them to effectively influence, motivate, entertain and persuade people.

Certain basics have been widely used by such world-known speakers as Abraham Lincoln, Winston Churchill, John F. Kennedy, Martin Luther King, Jim Rohn, and Nelson Mandela, and even to this day are relied upon by such notables as Barack Obama, Suzie Orman, Mel Robbins, Molly Fletcher, and Anthony Robbins.

Such tried and true mechanics a motivational speaker will utilize include:

· Open with a positive statement. What you say at the beginning will be remembered longer than almost any other part of your speech. Focus on making a good first impression.

· Tell a compelling story. A good talk or public speech is like a good play, movie, or song. People love stories of any kind and will immediately settle down and listen attentively.

· Entertain your audience. People will enjoy your talk more if they’re enjoying themselves. Connect with your audience or make them feel connected to each other.

· Speak with confidence. A self-confidence is a powerful tool; if you can show confidence in yourself you can definitely make yourself confident in front of your audience as well.

The first three are the mechanics of a speech. What is most important to you at the outset is #4 — Confidence. That may be the primary factor standing between you and being a motivational speaker. Motivational speaking is an art that can be developed by time and mainly increasing your self-confidence. The are many public speaking courses available that will help you, just as there is from 4WISDOMS ACADEMY which provides you with not only the 4 foundations of motivational speaking but the code to unleash the power of your self-confidence that will serve you in unlimited areas of your life.

“Count your blessings. Once you realize how valuable you are and how much you have going for you, the smiles will return, the sun will break out, the music will play, and you will finally be able to move forward the life that God intended for you with grace, strength, courage, and confidence.” Og Mandino

HOW IMPORTANT IS SELF-CONFIDENCE IN MOTIVATIONAL SPEAKING?

· The simple truth is… your audience will judge you from the moment you start talking. It may sound harsh but it’s very true. So it’s a good idea to start with certainty and confidence, to quickly build a connection with the audience so they are eager to hear what you have to say next.

· The reality is the audience wants you to succeed. Novice speakers commonly feel that the people in the audience are extremely critical and want them to fail. This is very rarely the case. Think about situations where you have been an audience member. Did you want the speaker to fail? Probably not. In fact, we are usually quite supportive of speakers and may even feel bad for them if they stumble over a word or lose their train of thought. Most audiences you will address will be rooting for you.

“When you find your path, you must not be afraid. You need to have sufficient courage to make mistakes. Disappointment, defeat, and despair are the tools God uses to show us the way” — Paulo Coelho

WHO WOULD WANT TO HEAR WHAT I HAVE TO SAY?

WHO WOULD WANT TO HEAR WHAT I HAVE TO SAY?

I’d be willing to be you have a lot more to say than what comes to mind at the moment. The best advice I could give you at the moment is Choose a Message on which you want to talk, a topic in which you are comfortable and have previous experience. Speaking about the things you know is always a good plan and when it’s a subject you know or have experience in, you are a lot more comfortable and confident right off the bat.

“Never be ashamed of who you are. People always recognize and appreciate authenticity.” — — Barbara Corcoran

A vital tip I learned from my own mentor that I now pass on to you about motivational speaking is that everyone loves to listen to stories and it’s an attention-getter when starting a speech. A well-told story has an almost hypnotic effect on the listeners. People might forget some of the information in your talk but they will never forget the stories that you told them.

Not every story will grab your audience’s attention and interest. Here and a few important points that should be taken into consideration when choosing the right story for your speech. Follow these and you are practically guaranteed a captive audience, as long as you have something to say.

Do’s

· Always make your story relevant to the subject at hand.

· Keep your stories simple and short

· Eliminate inconsequential detail

· Space stories at intervals to emphasize your message

· Make sure that the plot of the story involves a lesson or a transformation outcome that your listeners can relate to and benefit from.

· Use elements of the story that your audience can relate to (e.g. people places, and familiar facts).

· Emphasize the adjectives and verbs in your stories to make them sound more interesting.

· Learn your stories by heart.

· Use appropriate body language and facial expressions to convey emotions to your listeners.

“What you do speaks so loud that I cannot hear what you say.” — -Ralph Waldo Emerson

Don’ts

· Do not tell more than two or three stories on the same topic as each successive one will lose its impact.

· Do not use terms that are foreign to the experience of the audience.

· Do not fill stories with too many characters, events or details.

Interesting quotes can be used throughout your talk. Unfortunately, speakers often go with predictable quotes from sports stars, writers, texts, and celebrities. Don’t bore your audience with familiar and tired quotes. When you open your presentation, you have just thirty seconds to command your audience’s attention. Don’t waste your opening words. Prepare a winning opening and give it extra attention as you rehearse your presentation.

A relevant and compelling quote is one way to open a presentation and engage your audience. … I’m also a believer in quoting others besides Dead White Men — not that many haven’t said wonderful and true things. — — PATRICIA FRIPP

If you are serious about pursuing Inspirational Speaking to groups, and I hope y0u are, always be working to improve your public speaking skills, just as I do. Work hard on mastering your public speaking. The best way to see what you are doing is to do as I do and videotape your speeches. Once you do it, watch the replay very carefully. Pay attention to your intonation, your body languages and the eye contact you establish with the audience. Learn how to sound natural and reassuring. It would be most helpful to enroll in a public speaking course that will help you polish your skills.

“The first requirement is that you should have a clear purpose while telling a story. It might be a good idea to provide some explanation if needed, to ensure that the audience clearly understands your words and opinions. The second piece of advice is that you should include your own personal stories in your speech. Those can be the stories that the audience can relate to. By telling your personal experiences you become closer to the audience. They look at you as a friend, listen to your story, get inspired and motivated to start making changes themselves.”

— — DAVID CRANE

There is much more to know about being a motivational speaker, but the best advice I will leave you with is that you may need a mentor, just as I did and continue to.

If you are just starting out, a mentor will help light a path for you. Even if you have always been a good public speaker and you believe that a motivational speaking career is right for you, you will benefit from the guidance provided from someone who has been down the path ahead of you.

Nothing — absolutely nothing — in this life gives you more satisfaction than knowing you’re on the road to success and achievement. And nothing stands as a bigger challenge than making the most of yourself.” David J. Schwartz (The Magic of Thinking Big)

Remember, your knowledge and experience are not as valuable than when you share it for the betterment of humanity. Learning to share your knowledge and experience can serve to influence the lives of others and as such, you hold tremendous responsibility.
