“Witch Child” is a Victim of Structural Violence, not Superstition

I’m happy that someone else noticed that something was not right about that.

What I saw, watching that video, was a child being abused, likely as a result of Christianity and Islam destroying African cultures. No African “superstition” or belief I ever heard of from anywhere in Africa would justify that sort of treatment of a child. The more adherent one was to Vodun in particular, the more afraid one would be of offending the Ancestors (Egungun) by torturing one of them who has returned.

Whatever reasoning there was for harming or neglecting that poor child, was not born in Africa.
