Thank goodness this is presented as “parody”, as satire is the only place where such unsubstantiated nonsense is anything but irrelevant.
Credit where credit is due however. The author does provide an impressively blind adherence to the fabricated narrative. Impressive, though not entirely unexpected when the target audience is those who “don’t want to read”.
But for those who want to move beyond platitudes clipped from the headlines of the 41st most free press in the world (-Reporters Without Borders), the following may be applicable, if not necessary.
Hard as it may have been to believe one year ago, Donald Trump might very well be the next President of the United…medium.com
An advocacy for Trump? Certainly not.
But it might be of interest to know how the young Hillary Clinton — the so-called “prodigy” — was viewed by her colleagues on the Watergate Committee and at the Children’s Defense Fund.
And while we may “all want the same shit”, we likely do not all pursue racial justice while funded by private prisons, through actions like the ‘Superpredators’ crime bill and a haberdashery of racism towards not only African-Americans, but South-Asians, Native-Americans, and Muslims.
Similarly, we may not all pursue economic justice through finance industry funded initiatives like the removal of Glass-Steagall and the Dodd-Frank Act.
And while it is surely likely that we all want “women to be treated like humans”, some may express this desire differently than through funding and arming the world’s most oppressive dictatorships, threatening independent women with a “special place in hell”, and tiptoeing around a questionable history with sexual assault victims.
We may also all view the idea of a Mexican border wall as an absurdity, but of course there is only one presidential candidate who has actually voted for such a wall.
And while we may not spend spend our time “fantasizing” about imprisoning people, many of us do have a fantasy that those who have broken the law will be punished, no matter how powerful they are.
The sad truth is that while Trump is a hideous presidential candidate, Hillary Clinton is… well, you will have to read for yourself.
