So you assign intent based on response of the other group. I will not debate whether that was their intent or not since neither of us or anyone else can prove that. I am not in anyway excusing the action of either group but you cannot deny the right to assemble based on yours or anyone’s belief in what the intent is. This is the point you kept trying to step around. Prior to the violence that did break out there was no proof of intent to incite violence and therefore no legal reason to deny their right to assemble.
