Local Lingo always sells!

Quite recently I have been working with a prominent magazine that speaks to the construction and renovation folks in Canada. Currently focused towards driving social media reach and engagement on various platforms I learnt that there are boat load lot of things one needs to know about renovations and DIY to drive engagement.

One thing that I have discovered in Content marketing especially with the B2B folks is ‘Talking their Lingo’ using the words of the construction/job site can be extremely rewarding. While we may get too focused in writing a crisp grammar free copy but most folks connect easily with street language and jargons. Its beneficial in three ways:

  1. Builds trust and creates a community feeling among followers
  2. Makes you look like someone who understands their problems or challenges
  3. Develops instant connect and conversations.

The list may be exhaustive but for now I think these three points take the trophy home.
