Lifesaver: How to feed Mautic with Contact Form 7 [update]

Tired of looking a way to feed Mautic from a external form? Or tired of deal with multiple form to feed third party services like CRM, Mailchimp etc? here is your solution to feed several service using ONE FORM.

Mautic have become a good tool for marketers since is a free tool (Open Source) available for everybody, but since is a Open Source project have some we can said limitation since the community is the one who find solutions to problems and make suggestions.

One of the common question in the Mautic Community is feed Mautic using a external forms plugin or PHP file in my case i will use Wordpress since is one of the most common platforms.

Tools we need.

  1. Wordpress.org
  2. Mautic.com (paid service) or Mautic.org (free open source)
  3. Contact Form 7
  4. Contact Form 7 Modules
  5. Forms: 3rd-Party Integration

I assume that you have already your site running on Wordpress and you have also your Mautic Instance, so go and install the plugin Contact Form 7 then Forms: 3rd-Party Integration plugin.

So we go to login in your Wordpress Admin Panel and go to Contact > Contact Forms

create a Forms or edit one that you already have Remember this forms is the one that is going to feed Mautic.

Here is a sample form that i have created and you can use.

[hidden formid “3”]

The [hidden formid “3”] is the Mautic Form variable the number 3 is the ID of our Mautic form create in Mautic.

YES, you have to create a form un Mautic as well if you don't create the form in Mautic with the fields that you NEED it won't WORK!

Now we go to Wordpress Admin Panel and go to Contact > 3rd Party Services

Then complete those fields

Now lets create the integration to Mautic

Label: is the Label your internal use.

Form Submission Field: Are the field you have create in Contact Form 7

3rd-Party Field are the name of the field in your Mautic Form.

DONE!

Now just insert the Contact Form Shortcode in any page you want a it should work without problems.
