Way over my head, so I’ll just ask: I’ve heard differing viewpoints on gravity over the years. Is our moon in orbit around earth because of our planet’s gravitational pull, along with the speed of the moon’s orbit keeping it in place? Or, is our moon orbiting because it’s stuck in a groove (a rut) made up of space-time?
