Author Spotlight: Isaac Asimov

Isaac Asimov was born in 1920 in Petrovichi, Russia. He moved to New York with his family when he was very young. He graduated high school at age 15 and then earned his B.S., M.A., and Ph.D. from Columbia University. Isaac then went on to become a professor of biochemistry. At the same time, he was pursuing writing.
Isaac Asimov is well-known for his books I, Robot and the Foundation trilogy. Although he is best known for his works in science fiction, he wrote nearly 500 books of various subjects including religion, math, biology, and astronomy. His works have been honored with countless awards, including Nebula and Hugo awards for “best novel,” “best novelette,” and “best all-time series.”
