Question 1 : How did the Renaissance impact the use of scientific principles and technological advancement?

• In the Renaissance, people adapted to think humanism way; think for themselves and emphasized on education and on reason, and they also learnt about civilization from Greek, Roman, and Arab history. The result of these was development of the scientific knowledge. Moreover, they understood how to make technology to respond their needs; more facilities, and to live easier.

Question 2 : What impact did the use of science and technology during the Industrial Revolution have on society?

• The economy had changed, and the roles of market expanded widely because of progress of manufacturing products, and transportation.
• There was occurring of labor by changing of social structure’s classes. The laborers moved from outskirt to city for working in industry. And this migration caused many problems to society.
• The population was increased, and the living of middle class was better than before.

Question 3 : What is Toeffler’s Third Wave theory and where do you think Thailand is in his suggested theory of change?

• Toeffler’s Third Wave theory is theory about changing of world society which consists 3 period waves. The first wave is about agriculture, the second wave is about the industrial revolution — scientific development, and the third wave is about technology; the technology was innovated more complex, and approached the science economy.
• In my opinion, I think that Thailand is in the third wave because now Thailand’s society is service economy. In our society, network and social network is used widely for instance, nowadays the location for working is not important like before; we can work everywhere via network, and new innovation — mobile, computer, etc. To conclude, in this era the social network is the one parts of our lives.
