Guess what’s coming your way?

I sat at the far end of the bar sipping a bottle of coke, originally I asked for a bottle of star, an alcoholic beverage, but I remembered my last encounter with that green bottle, it wasn’t a fun day because I had to be dragged home, I refrained.

I allowed my mind roam the breath and length of the bar, savouring the splendor of the African artistry designs hung on the wall without any wish to analyse any.

A bird flew by, darted here and there and succeeded in drawing my attention back to reality.

I jolted at the sight of two beautiful women with full rounded cups and curves daring my calm resolve, drawing in around me, as shy as I am I battled to disengage my eyes from theirs.

I began to write.

A string struck, another connected and I began feeling in all the I’ve been thinking about on my note.

Silently raising my head to check if I’m still being watched, I remembered the days I could not fill a page of a note with words.

Hmmmmm.

What has changed?

At this moment, the attendants were stealing glances at me, I knew they might be considering me a mischief.

One was so grossed at the competition that I refused to look away until she gave up.

I’ve won the first battle I told myself.

Does it mean, that the more I read, the more I wrote, the more I wrote, the more I desired to write?

Hmmmnn, let me scare you a bit, I love snakes, the cobra to be specific, but it’s only on National Geographic channel, in reality, after the fear of water, comes snakes.

Snakes shed throughout their lifetime to enable growth. It is a natural process. Online Wikipedia.

If they don’t, they won’t grow.

Here’s what’s coming?

How many times, have you shed? Do you desire to grow? Then, shed!

It’s a very bitter process, the snake hides in a cool and often deserted place to shed. It doesn’t stay where it would be found.

It’s the period of deep understanding, self awakening and life structuring. ……Nonso Emetoh

To grow, you must shed:

  • Habits that are not productive
  • Unlearn and learn again
  • Ignore what’s not important and engage what is
  • Friends who are opposed to your growth, well be the master here.

I just asked for a bottle of water and equally engaged the waitress with my charming smiles. I think she’s falling for it.

After all, I’m a handsome dude.
