Hakkasan is a modern Chinese restaurant that was opened in Abu Dhabi in 2010 by Syra Khan and Alan Yau and was owned by Abu Dhabi Government’s Tasameem. Yau is a London based restaurateur who also created Yauatcha and Wagamama food chain, which was first opened in 1992 in London too. It is located in the capital’s 7 star best luxury hotel “Emirates Palace” in Corniche Road with the view to the towers surrounding and the beautiful beach. It is close to major visitor attractions and the main business areas of the city.

Hakkasan is on the very few Chinese restaurants that has a Michelin Star in 2003 and was also even included in the top 100 best restaurants in the world a few years ago. Michelin Star is a hallmark of fine dining quality and restaurants around the world proudly promote their Michelin Star status. Hakkasan Abu Dhabi won about 17 awards or certificates since it opened in 2010 and lately they won the best Chinese Restaurant in “What’s On Awards 2016.”

Hakkasan is one of the most loved restaurant brands globally, founded in London in 2001. Since its inception, Hakkasan has been at the forefront of exquisite Chinese cuisine, winning numerous Michelin Stars for its expertise under the lead of Executive Head Chef Tong Chee Hwee. Chef Hwee is known for his innovative access to modern Chinese cooking, and as executive chef of the Hakkasan Group.

Hakkasan then later opened in 11 different outposts through the world including Mayfair, Mumbai, New York, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Miami, Dubai, Doha, Saudi Arabia, Shanghai and Jakarta.

Hakkasan has grown to become one of those restaurants that you know what are you choosing while going there which will led you to continue going frequently. It is renowned for its excellent culinary flair and sophisticated atmosphere. The place actually manages all three such as restaurant, bar, and a nightclub. The restaurant has bar, lounge, private dining rooms and an incredible terrace looking out onto the Corniche skyline.

The restaurant was designed by a French Designer Christian Liaigre who combined modern aesthetic with traditional Chinese trappings.
