Maybe I overlooked your outrage when Donald Trump recently inked a multi-billion dollar deal with Saudi Arabia. Ukraine is as much a sovereign state as Saudi Arabia, with a duty and responsibility to defend its citizens against naked military aggression by hostile forces.
Here’s a simple thought experiment: If Russia invaded and annexed Alaska by military force as it did with Crimea, would you expect the U.S. federal government to ignore that act, and not defend America by all legal means necessary, including military counter-action? Why doesn’t Ukraine have that same obligation and right?
