Modernisation plan to boost passenger experience at the Narela Railway Station

This extensive face-uplifting plan includes a few major developments that will remarkably transform the Railway station.

The Narela Railway Station which comes under The Delhi Division of the Northern Railways is set for a spectacular transformation under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. For this, it has been allotted a budget of ₹ 26 crores for its reconstruction plan. This comprehensive blueprint includes numerous upgrades that will increase the productivity, efficiency and functionality of the station.

This extensive face-uplifting plan includes a few major developments such as the construction of a facade for the station building which will add not only to the visual appeal but also to reflect a modern image. Further, this plan will also include the development of a spacious waiting hall where the passengers can wait for the trains to arrive. Moreover, new toilets will also be constructed as a part of this scheme and will be upgraded with modern amenities to ensure hygiene. Additionally, a Passenger Announcement System will also be installed to ensure that passengers get real-time announcements, platform information and emergency notifications without any hassles.

The Amrit Bharat Station Scheme is an initiative by the Indian Railways to better accommodate the needs of its varied network of commuters. As a part of this scheme, 1308 stations are being redeveloped throughout the country. In its initial phase, 508 stations are being remodelled, among these 71 come under the jurisdiction of the Northern Railways. The Narela Railway Station is one of these, which is set for a remarkable transformation. The fundamental goal of this scheme is to transform these railway stations into dynamic city hubs where everyone can travel without restrictions, safety and efficiency.
