Northern Railway’s Faridabad Railway Station embarks on its glorious journey to be reshaped with World Class Facilities!
The Indian Railways is on its mission to completely reshape the nominated Old Railway Stations into completely new ones all draped up with the modern facilities. Realizing its vision, the Railways has already kick-started the works of demolishing the structures of the various identified Railway Stations to reform their looks in a new one.
The Northern Railway’s Faridabad Railway Station is amongst the one to be given a completely ravishing look coupled with the vivid facilities & amenities that will revolutionize the ways people used to experience while coming to the Railway Station.
The Station is to be dazzled-up at the Total Sanctioned Cost of ₹ 261.97 Crores. It is planned to provide 2 Iconic Buildings with the modern architecture on both the sides.
While on the one hand, the Circulation Plan, Station Building, North Foot Over Bridge, and General Arrangement Drawing (GAD) of Multi-Level Car Parking have been approved; the Design Basis Report (DBR) is under the approval stage.
The design of the North Foot Over Bridge is under process, while the Multi-Level Car Parking Work is under progress.
Identified under the ambitious Railway Station Redevelopment Programme of the Indian Railways, the Faridabad Railway Station will have segregation of Departure and Arrivals like those you find at the Airports.
Felicitating the rail passengers and other people to park their vehicles safely and conveniently while coming to the Railway Station, the Multi-Level Car Parking having an ample capacity to park 250 Four-Wheelers and 350 Two-Wheelers will be coming upin the near future.
As per the Planning, a wide Concourse well-equipped with the Spacious Waiting Area, Waiting Lounge, Retiring Rooms, Food Court, Shopping Facilities and other Amenities alongwith the Help Desks will enlighten-up the Station’s looks. This Concourse will be a connecting point between both the sides of the Station Buildings.
In the near future, the Lifts and Escalators will make the Station to be differently-abled friendly. Besides this, 2 New 12 Metres Wide Foot Over Bridges (F.O.B.s) will add up to comfort and beautify the looks of the Station.
Getting the final signal from the Cabinet, the Northern Railway’s Authorities have already completed the dismantling of the Railway Quarters. The works for shifting the Offices from present Station Building to the temporarily built Offices are under progress.
Once completed, the travelers will be delighted with the all New Faridabad Railway Station all decked-up with the World Class Facilities.
