What are you feelings about children taking hormones or getting reassignment surgery before they are legal adults and making their own choices?
Katelyn, i’m talking about pre-op children not taking hormones, not adults.

Neither of those things happen. Trans adolescents are allowed to take puberty suppressants so that they can choose to take hormones later (late teens) without undergoing the physical and psychological ravages of puberty with the wrong hormones.

Surgery isn’t even an option until they reach the age of medical majority, which is usually 16, and even then the process takes so long and is so gorgeously horrendously expensive that it is incredibly rare at that age.

All of these steps are undertaken with the support of both a medical doctor and a trained therapist.
