I’ve been diagnosed with Complex PTSD as well as ADD and major depression. Depression and some form of PTSD since I was a teen (although the symptoms were evident in elementary school) and ADD at the age of 37. My major struggle now is finding treatment for the CPTSD. Most publicly available trauma care is focused on PTSD, which is usually the result of serious one-time trauma. The complications that arise from serious traumas repeated over months, years, or decades are what make CPTSD different than PTSD. Unless you are a combat Vet, or rich, it’s next to impossible to find affordable, comprehensive, even just plain -old adequate physical/mental/pharmacological care.
