For me it started with The Iron Giant. But then came movies like iRobot, Wall-e, and Pacific Rim.

But now, in 2017, robots are becoming much more of a reality. With teams like Boston Dynamics at the forefront, I won’t be surprised if we see robots and AI like in the movies, in the next 10–15 years (or sooner.)
