GOT 7.2 thoughts:
- Where’s Ghost? The rebirth of the wolves is a major theme of this season. We’ve only got two actual dire wolves left. Please tell me they’ve upped the wolf budget.
- Now we know how Varys dies. I have maintained Dany’s story is the evolution of the biggest bad. She’s the killer cats come to rid us of the killer cars. She’s already acting more imperious this season. The problem facing Westeros might be how do you defeat both the Night King and the Mother of Dragons?
- Cersei’s not wrong about the Dothraki. That’s about the most un-Westerosi thing you could bring to the continent. A wandering band of ravagers simply can’t coexist with what wants to be an orderly medieval society. Though I think Jaime’s going to crush them. Remember back when Jorah Mormont was explaining heavily armored knights to Rakharo.
- Arya and the Hound have to meet somewhere on the Kingsroad, right?
- I feel like Cersei’s going to have an amazing season … for six episodes. Old pro wrestling trope, the one who wins most of the match loses in the end. Cersei’s going to have five, maybe six kingdoms (Littlefinger could always decide handing her the Vale is his best move) before her epic fall.
- Finally, Euron is showing us what it means to be the Lord Reaper of Pyke. The Iron Islanders in the show have been a little on the pathetic side. Euron’s exactly the kind of bloodthirsty killing machine he should be.
- Grey Worm gave Missandei the Lord’s Kiss.
- Is Brandon moving south or is he moving east?
- Who’s running Dorne? Same folks who are running the Stormlands and the Riverlands — someone off screen never to be seen.
