Learning to live in the moment.
Momentum. It’s talked about in sports as being a critical element. In writing, you have to keep going, even when you’re uninspired. If you’re running, each forward step maintains momentum.
But really is momentum and how can we maintain it on life? For me, breaking the word apart and embracing it’s root, the moment.
Living in the moment is easier for some people than others. It’s easier in certain moments than in others. And if you’re easily distracted, or like me, prone to get lost in your head, thinking and planning, not doing, something you admire in others because it seems so unattainable.
To live in the moment takes, for me, conscious effort. Frequent reminders to look around me and to take action, țo CHOOSE my actions and reactions, to order my thoughts and feelings to reinforce my chosen actions.
We should learn to live from one moment to the next, immersing ourselves in the life we have right now while creating with purpose the life we want in the next moment(s) of our lives.
