The 0.Exchange Omnidex which currently features the Ethereum, Avalanche, and Binance Smart Chain blockchains will be gaining the Polkadot blockchain by deploying to Moonbeam.

Why Moonbeam?

Moonbeam has a full Ethereum feature implementation including an integrated EVM, Web3 RPC, support for solidity based contracts as well as the Ethereum development toolchain (Truffle, Metamask, Remix) which all work out of the box. The team at Moonbeam is collaborating with Parity on these Ethereum compatibility features including work on the Frontier project. More technical information about Moonbeam can be found here (https://docs.moonbeam.network/) and information about the underlying Substrate framework that Moonbeam is built with can be found on the Substrate website. In addition to the Ethereum compatibility features on Moonbeam, there are multiple bridging efforts underway to bridge Ethereum mainnet to Polkadot which will allow for the movement of e.g. ERC20 tokens to/from Ethereum and Moonbeam.

What does 0.Exchange bring to the Moonbeam Ecosystem?

The Polkadot ecosystem is one that shows incredible promise and value and is one that the 0.Exchange team is extremely excited to be integrating with. We think 0.Exchange is uniquely positioned to offer an onramp for DOT projects that believe in a multichain future. We would be able to offer an initial raise, initial listing, and initial farming ALL from the same platform on Polkadot and Kusama, as well as, across multiple chains with built-in bridge access via the Zero Bridge.

0.Exchange will leverage Moonbeam’s Ethereum compatibility features to quickly port with minimal effort to Moonbeam, which will ultimately provide access to DOT, KSM, and the many other assets being created in the Polkadot ecosystem and by other teams building on the Moonbeam platform.

The 0.Exchange team anticipates Moonbeam being a major hub in the Polkadot ecosystem and as such 0.Exchange sees Moonbeam playing a critical role in bridging assets from other parachains. 0.Exchange, with the help of Moonbeam, is then perfectly positioned to interconnect the entirety of the Polkadot ecosystem to all the other blockchain ecosystems.

What have we built so far:

Our progress is best monitored on our Github: https://github.com/zeroexchange

With that said we have completed contract integration with Moonbase Alpha!

Native Moonbase DEV Token liquidity creation and swaps are operational, as well as, cross-chain transactions to/from Moonbeam and the other testnets Rinkeby, Fuji, BSC Testnet

Cross-Chain from Rinkeby to Moonbeam

Cross-Chain from Avalanche Fuji to Moonbeam

Moonbeam Swaps

Where we see ourselves going from here:

We see Moonbeam being a critical piece of the 0.Exchange infrastructure as we bring “light up” more chains

Moonbeam believes in a future that is Multi-Chain and we truly think the “universe” is the limit as we interconnect the Polkadot ecosystem with all of the other blockchain ecosystems with the help of Moonbeam.

The end goal is to ensure native DOT projects are able to quickly and easily list their project on multiple chains, bring their liquidity to multiple parachains, and quickly and easily transfer their assets between all of those chains!

About Moonbeam

Decentralized and permissionless, Moonbeam provides an Ethereum-compatible smart contract platform that makes it easy to build natively interoperable applications. Powered by the Polkadot network.
