Obie has discovered a relatively new, yet old school type of nomad experience called WorkAway.info https://www.workaway.info/.
It’s a simple platform to use, affordable and a great way to get out of the city and into nature. The platform has a network of ~40,000 work away opportunities in 178 countries.
According to Workaway.info, it’s a site set up to promote fair exchange and friendship as well as volunteering and work opportunities. The philosophy of the company is simple:
A few hours honest help per day in exchange for food & accommodation and an opportunity to meet others. Learn about local lifestyles and communities, with friendly hosts in varying situations and surroundings. We also promote paid work positions for hosts looking for extra help with their businesses.
