My Coursera HCI Capstone Project
For my Capstone Project I have created a design for mobile App ToDo Matrix.
ToDo Matrix was created for people, that want to plan their time efficiently. The Eisenhower Matrix, also referred to as Urgent-Important Matrix, helps you decide on and prioritize tasks by urgency and importance, sorting out less urgent and important tasks which you should either delegate or not do at all. Tested by the years, this time planning method helped million of people to save their time, achieve goals and become happy. I am inspirited by this method and want to give a lot of people a possibility to use one in daily routine in a convenient and modern way.
In my prototype I tried to create the easiest and clearest modern way to use Eisenhower matrix. The biggest question for me was how to create a simplest way to add a new task and how to switch between tasks.
I changed my opinion 3 times, after each user testing iteration.
First time was after providing low fidelity user testing with paper prototype:
Second time was after providing real life in-person testing:
Third time after providing online A/B test.
One of the major things, that I have learned in this course, was how important is to provide user testing on each possible phase. Some things, that designer doesn’t even think about, can be obvious for other people, especially when conducting online tests with people from different cultures. Also I tried to create a simple and clear navigation. It was nice to hear from different participants, that they like my design and navigation. As a designer I see a lot of ways how to improve now my design now. I think it can be never-ending process.
