Whether we are born at a clean hospital or raised in a lovely home, we will still be buried in a dirty hole. So don’t be proud. Be humble. And note that the best gift you can give your spouse is time alone with you. The best gift you can give yourself is time alone with God. Spending time with God helps you mature. Maturity is knowing the difference between romance and love. Kissing, candle light dinners and holding hands, etc is romance. Affection, respect and trust is love.
