You Know Nothing about Pantone Color? It’s time to learn!
What is Pantone Color
Have you ever heard Pantone color in daily life or at work? Maybe not, but the Pantone Color Matching System is largely a standardized color reproduction system. By standardizing the colors, different manufacturers in different locations can all refer to the Pantone system to make sure colors match without direct contact with one another. In another word, the Pantone company is dominating the standard and the fashion of colors.
Lately the Pantone company has brought out the fashion color of the year 2019 — — Living Coral.
Vibrant, yet mellow PANTONE 16–1546 Living Coral embraces us with warmth and nourishment to provide comfort and buoyancy in our continually shifting environment.
How did the Pantone Colors come?
Pantone company used to be a company in the 1950s, which was making color cards for cosmetics companies, the car industry, and more. One day one of the employee Lawrence Herbert came up with a crazy idea to build up a universal color system. How the experts at the Pantone Color Institute decide which new colors should be the new star of the year — a process that can take up to two years — involves somewhat abstract inspiration.
Twice a year, Pantone send 12 professional forecasters to all over the design world for observing, investigating, studying, and so on. Eventually they get together and sit down with an anonymous group of international color experts who work in product design or fashion, teach color theory at universities, or are associated with institutions like the British Fashion Council. They gather in a central location (often London) to talk about the colors that seem poised to take off in popularity.

The theme color of products
As known that there must be an explosive growth of picking Pantone color as product theme color in a variety of industries right after it has been announced.
Most products in the market have an outstanding theme color, and Onyx is no exception.
Surprise! The color adopted by Onyx in 2018 is similar to the Pantone color. It appears on our official website, in promotions and even exhibitions. To compare to the Pantone color, Onyx theme color is a litter bit darker, seems more mature, friendly and composed as what a technical electronics is supposed to be. We feel like conveying an idea of reading in peace and reflecting in mind.
Let’s catch up the popularity!
