1.Can I customize and edit my events? (i.e., edit the description).

Yes, you can change the photo, the details, the location, the time, and send out instant notifications to all attendees to let them know about the changes!

2. Can I set up recurring events, so that they automatically repeat?

You can click “repeat” and all of the information auto-fills for the next week. We are building a more automatic “recurring” events feature soon :-)

3. Are administrative functions customizable?

Yes, we have different tiers of admin roles that you (the owner of the group) can assign to members of your group. More about admin roles here.

4. Can I set up automatic refunds, without it always being a manual process?

Yes, OpenSports supports automatic and manual refunds! And you can customize your automatic refund policy.

e.g., You can set it up so that if a player cancels less than 2 hours before an event, they do not get a refund.

5. Which payment cards can people pay with?

🇺🇸Accepted Cards (USA): Players can pay with almost all major Debit or Credit Card. Prepaid credit cards accepted if there is no PIN.

🇨🇦Accepted Cards (Canada): Players can pay with Visa, MasterCard, American Express (Debit not accepted at the moment).

🌏Accepted Cards (All other countries): Players can pay with most major debit and credit cards.

6. What if I want my fees to change mid-term through a posting (i.e., make the last 5 spots more expensive?)

You can make edits to your event, including increasing the price of some spots that are still available.

You can also manually stagger this (i.e., set 5 spots for $10 and 10 spots for $15), or create discount codes.

7. Many of my players don’t have credit cards. How will they pay?

You can open up “cash spots” that they can sign up for, or create “free discounts” that you give to those players, so that they don’t have to pay through the app if they don’t have a payment card. Learn all about creating discounts (a very powerful marketing tool!) here.

8. What are your payment processing fees?

OpenSports uses a payment system called Stripe that is fully integrated with our platform (web + iOS and Android app) so you can seamlessly collect payments at a lower cost than other platforms that have integrated payment processing.

When users pay for your events through the app, OpenSports charges a 5% + $0.30 transaction processing fee for every payment you collect, to provide you with integrated features that make managing your games incredibly easy! We wrote a complete guide on collecting payment here.
