C.R.E.A.M.
“Cash rules everything around me, C.R.E.A.M…” ~Method Man. This acronym is a bitter sweet statement. Method Man brings the attention that money being the symbolism of power rules everything. With my opinion I’ve interoperated and gathered from this comes with a lot of thoughts. With the song being released on an album in, 1994 it makes me wonder; is this a reference to prejudice thoughts at the time maybe not just the power that money brings. I researched the poverty and wealth of different ethnicity's at the time coming to a conclusion that skin color wasn’t the only reason of racism. But racism deriving from the nervous feeling of being lesser than another masked by the wealth they already obtain placing them at a higher stand point in there reality’s. I’m not saying every man and woman that lives at a higher class is a racist, I’m describing how cash can rule a lot from the way you think, where you can get to, the “person” you are, and the lifestyle you live. A lifestyle controlled by a thrill for funds is a way to be one with time, but to create a thrill to be funded is times present. Time is an equal Power to Money but it doesn’t rule everything around us. We just have to Appreciate time and realize that one and another is equal blocking the way we categorize off of religion, politics, team fans, culture, color of skin, lifestyle, or wealth.
