About “Orbit”

So, for a while now, I have been uploading videos. In fact, I have been uploading for over a year now. I have achieved what feels a lot. But soon I will grow, I am in fact growing right now. But before I turn to your average music enthusiast, here is a bits about me.

Hi, thanks for taking your time, and having to read who is Orbit. So let me basically introduce myself! I am Alex, or Orbit. I live in the US, and I am around 13 and 15, now guess how old I am. I used to be known as “PotatoeFTW”, but since I started to grow, I wanted to be known as a better name, without 3 uppercase letters, and just something simple. So, my favorite Monstercat song is “Orbit” by WRLD, and I chose that.

I want you to know the origin of my channel, so here is what started me.

I started in August of 2014, as just a channel on commenting. I decided to upload a video on a kid who fell of a bike. That video is deleted and I can’t find a trace of it. That got very little views, but everyone starts off with a not-so-good video. Then, during getting crazy from too much Mtn. Dew, I decided I wanted to upload videos, so I uploaded a preview of a trap song from Stonebank. That had bad quality, and was a still picture of the Monstercat logo, and a burgundy color background. I had a bad laptop at the time, so I had to stick with that. I had great ambitions and as I grew, that wore off. Then I had this brilliant idea of using VJ clips from Beeple as a video, that is where it all started.

Hellberg released the legendary song, “The Girl”. I loved that song a lot, like a ton. That song went very successful and then so, Hellberg made a remix competition of The Girl. Lots of remixes went into place, and on June 9th, the 2 winners were announced. Color Source, and Different Heaven. So I decided, that since no one else uploaded it, I could. I edited it quickly as possible, and it was uploaded. About 5 minutes later, first comment showed up. The day after, 4 comments. Then in about a month, it was growing fast, real real fast. Soon it soared to 10K views. Then 15K views. It was surprising! This helped out my channel a lot, and it boosted me to a chance.

I kept doing videos, and videos. Then I noticed something that made me different from all other channels. The lack of quality. So it was just a bunch of visuals and a song. What type of videos are that? That got me worried a lot, and I kept finding ways to improve, but I over-thinked, and that got me even less productive. Then, in the point of giving up, I had an idea. I changed my channel for the 3rd time, and I used “>>” as a logo, forever. I would use my logo, and some particle effects to make a video. I used that, and that is now the layout of the videos, from now on forward.

Cool, cool. So we know your channel, but what about you?

Me eh? Well, for me, real life things affected me a lot in the creation and development of my project, “Orbit”. School affected me the most, with tests here, and homework there. It was just hustle, hustle, hustle. I failed to maintain a schedule, since I wasn’t ready to face being stuck to a schedule, a routine. It is hard for keeping up with it, since you have ambitions not just online, but in reality. But now, I figured out something that could possibly work, but if it doesn’t. I will still do my best.

Now let us look into the future

I plan on improving the quality of the videos, now that I have a layout completed. I also plan on wayy better thumbnails because the one I put there is absolute garbage. But overall that is my priorities right now.
