Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, known professionally as Lady Gaga, is an American songwriter, singer, actress, philanthropist, dancer and fashion designer. Gaga was born on March 28, 1986 in Manhattan, New York City, to Cynthia Louise and Joseph Anthony Germanotta, Jr., an internet entrepreneur. Her father is of Italian descent, and her mother is of half Italian and half French-Canadian, English, German, and Scottish ancestry. Gaga was able to sing and play the piano from a young age. Gaga initially played roles in high school plays, and studied at CAP21 through New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts before dropping out to pursue a musical career. After leaving a rock band, participating in a performance art circuit, and being dropped from a contract with Def Jam Recordings, Gaga worked as a songwriter for Sony/ATV Music Publishing. From there, Akon noticed her vocal abilities and helped her sign a joint deal with Interscope Records and his own KonLive Distribution in 2007. Gaga rose to prominence with the release of her highly successful debut album The Fame, 2008 and its international chart-topping singles “Just Dance” and “Poker Face”. Lady Gaga is a great example of how to use content planning, social media, diverse audience targeting, and event advertising integration to make the most of her marketing efforts.

Even though she once lost her number one spot on Facebook to Rihanna she is still the overall social media star. In addition to her record setting Twitter following, Lady Gaga also boasts over millions of “Likes” on her Facebook page. Lady Gaga’s social media success started on MySpace, a social media platform that, at that time, was as popular as Facebook. In 2009, her team started concentrating on Facebook. Today Lady Gaga’s social media success is based on a great team that supervises her fan pages accept twitter which she manages herself. As followers count on social media, like celebrities common people can also gain 1000,s of followers by buying followers and attracting more real organic followers.
