Harry, you’re correct. There is nothing wrong with being curious about any of the presidential candidates’ policy positions. It goes along with becoming an informed voter and responsible citizen.
However, Ted Cruz, more than anyone other than Donald Trump, has expressed his positions and intended governing style on many occasions and in numerous ways — talk shows, one on one interviews, published pieces in print news, in the halls of Congress and on the floor of the U.S. Senate — all of which are readily available to anyone willing to take the time to Google and read.
I have great respect for your father and his brilliant career, but I find it curious that he would take time out of his schedule to attend a “circus” show in the form of a Ted Cruz performance that amounts to nothing more than a propaganda and retrograde vocalization of his insanity before a crowd of mostly religious fanatics who have nothing better to do than pay homage to one of the most despicable men seeking power.
All you have to do is spend a few hours reviewing the printed and video record to understand Ted Cruz and his ambitions.
I am disappointed that your father and you in his defense would waste time and energy excusing an exercise in stupidity.
Would you attend a KKK rally just to learn what they may be advocating?
