Agreed, many people (Hillary supporters included) seem to agree that the war in Iraq, the largely unregulated bailout of the banks, and other proposals that Hilary voted for were bad things. But they seem to want to evade responsibility for facing this by arguing that everyone else voted for for these things too, which is obviously not true (cough cough Bernie cough). There were indeed plenty of congressmen in favor of these, and other, bad bills, but just because it was a largely collective bad decision does not negate the individual bad decisions that it was composed of.
However, if you’re hinting that a Trump presidency is a good alternative I think you are looking in the wrong direction. That’s like saying “there’s too much sugar in cereals these days, so I might as well just eat a big bowl of plain sugar for breakfast today”
Also, there’s a really great book by Chris Hedges called The Death of the Liberal class that is extremely relevant and I think you might enjoy.
One of the other commentators mentioned how it was much easier to reform an existing party than popularize an entirely new on. This has to be kept in mind. The Democratic party has been pretty sad for a long time now, but that doesn’t mean there’s no hope for making it better.
