10 things I learned from Frank Underwood

In a couple of days before the 4th season of Netflix most exciting series (in my opinion) House of cards will be aired, I would like to talk a little bit about what I liked most about all the previous seasons and especially about Francis…the big guy that want to put his hands on everything…It was a real bloody race towards making his way to glory, whether we agree on the manner or not, what’s most intetesting in my opinion are the different steps that were taking to arrive to reflecting the hidden secrets of the world of politics in a series…lets put my whole vision in a 10 elements list:
- Frank is like a non stoping train.
Whatever are the circumstances, achieving his goals was the ultimate goal…when I say nothing stops the guy I mean NOTHING.. no body can be in his way, whether he is an enemy or a (even his wife couldn’t be excluded..), no idea or dogma can do that neither: he put all the religious beliefs undet his feet, I couldn’t stop laughing in the scene when he broken the sculpture of jesus and what he kept in his hands (lool well the real fans will remember), even some verses from the Quran he tried to use for a political deal…, no sexual orientation or fantasy can control him…well he is a non stopable.
2. Plays the game more than those who created it.
I remember a long time ago when I read a book about self empowering, one of the main ideas of the book was about how you can master anything you want with high commitment and discipline…well in the series, Frank played it very well in politics with all the parties, in the house he mastered things, in his relationship with the media, sports, music and even video games the mastery is overwhelming.
3.Being smart is not enough.
While being smart can make a difference in a lot of situations, in most of Frank’s glory moments he had to be wise enough to surrender when its the best option and when the best choise is to fight, he always knows what to do.
4.Poker face became his true face.
I don’t actually remember seeing the true Frank, I don’t know if I missed something but I didn’t find yet who really he is from inside…in other stories such as in batman or superman, you know the good guy is the one who’s fighting evil…but here, I can’t see it yet.
5. No strings attached.
Whatever happen, emotions are so far from reality…because maybe he knows that when you show your emotions in the battlefield, they will be the weapon that will be used to kill you…so to depend on no one in sharing his emotions…the path to the white house was made..
6. Determination of a hunting lion.
As much as he gets closer to his goal, as much as his desire get fired from inside and whatever happen, his vision will see the light of sun one day…a very high determination that turns iron to sand.
7. You’ll always need a team.
Well, Franks vision about teamwork is not that simple…he used the team as tools to fulfill what he trully wants…he knows that he needs them and he can’t do evetything alone…
8. He makes mistakes
Mistakes are what human are made from and the perfect vision that he have about himself and the best calculations don’t excludes him from making mistakes…but these mistakes never turned his inner fire down.
9. Chance is a myth.
With the hard working spirit that he had, he confirmed Einstein phrase when he said that god do not play with dice…so every step counts.
10. Watch me.
