Amidst the recent market volatility and uncertainty, it’s been a half year since Ouro came live. As a celebration of Ouro, we’d like to take this opportunity to elaborate on what Ouro achieved in the last six months.
Total OGS Burnt
Excess collateral from the Reserve Pool (Yields generated from assets in the Reserve Pool or holdings in the Reserve Pool appreciate) will be used to improve liquidity for OGS trading pairs and conduct OGS token burns. We have bought 11,122,171.94 OGS from the secondary market since we launched.
OURO Appreciation
Apart from conducting OGS burns, the excess value will be reserved for an increase in OURO’s Default Exchange Price. It shows the capacity of the Ouro Protocol to make OURO an inflation-proof store of value. The U.S. inflation rate reaches a 40-years High of 8.6%. However, OURO has grown 9.3% under the current uncertainty and volatility market in the last half-year.
New Reserve Pool Asset
In essence, here we are deriving fiat inflations manifested in the growth of the value of different assets, and migrating them onto OURO, making it an inflation-proof store of value. BNB Chain has a cheap transaction fee and capacity for mass adoption. PancakeSwap is the largest DEX, consistently having the highest user engagement of any dex, with ~400,000 DAU. Therefore, we added CAKE to our reserve pool! Now you can swap CAKE to OURO without slippage on our reserve page.

We just rolled out Ouro Dashboard v1! Aside from the increase in transparency, it is much easier for the users to track Ouro statistics, including the OURO price and reserve ratio. From now on, you can check real-time data on our platform directly with just a click.
