Hello everyone! Welcome along to the AMA with OuterOrbit NFT. Please welcome @helloimadam to the channel. Thanks for taking the time to have a chat with us

Adam, [2 Mar 2022 at 09:07:00]:

Hey guys!

Really excited to be here, love all the work the TomoMasterDAO is doing. Lets first address the questions asked over on Twitter

Lak 🌿 TomoMasterDAO 🌱, [2 Mar 2022 at 09:09:12]:

Just before we begin, can you tell us a little about yourself?

Adam, [2 Mar 2022 at 09:11:17 (2 Mar 2022 at 09:11:42)]:

Of course! So i go by @AdamM in the crypto-space and have been active in crypto for around 5 years. My first experience in the development of a crypto project was when i spearheaded the successful social media marketing campaign of a cryptocurrency project in the 2017 bull-run, in which I was responsible for the efficacy of said campaign. I now contribute to the day-to-day operations of the team and assist in social media marketing across numerous projects while reading for a degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics at University in the UK.

Lak 🌿 TomoMasterDAO 🌱, [2 Mar 2022 at 09:12:33]:

Interesting background coming into the crypto space. Great to have some experience through the bull and bear markets that many of us felt over the years.

Adam, [2 Mar 2022 at 09:12:59]:

Indeed, those flashbacks to 2018 are not the nicest 😂

Lak 🌿 TomoMasterDAO 🌱, [2 Mar 2022 at 09:13:22]:

Haha I think we can all still feel the pain from it 😂

Adam, [2 Mar 2022 at 09:13:48]:

Whenever the market is down 5% all the memories come flooding back 😂

Lak 🌿 TomoMasterDAO 🌱, [2 Mar 2022 at 09:14:23]:

Too true. Let’s have a chat about the OuterOrbit NFT marketplace.

Adam, [2 Mar 2022 at 09:14:31]:

Of course 🙂

Lak 🌿 TomoMasterDAO 🌱, [2 Mar 2022 at 09:14:42]:

How did you and your team come up with the idea to create your project?

Adam, [2 Mar 2022 at 09:15:20]:

We are a smaller-sized team that’ve been working together on various client blockchain projects over the last 2 years.

The concept of OuterOrbit came directly from our experience doing the TomoPunks project. TomoPunks was a little internal experiment in testing out building on Tomochain. We were interested in TOMO because of it’s low cost and high scalability potential, and we were excited about being able to put all the NFT data on-chain.

We knew creating some function on the site to trade the Punks would be important and decided to commit to that if 50% of the collection sold out. When the TomoPunks all sold out quickly we realized there was demand for a more robust NFT marketplace for Tomochain!

Lak 🌿 TomoMasterDAO 🌱, [2 Mar 2022 at 09:16:28]:

Exciting stuff. It’s great to be one of the first NFT projects on the TomoChain ecosystem. I managed to pick up a few of the Punks myself!

Very interesting to have all the data stored on-chain too

Can you let us know more about your team?

Adam, [2 Mar 2022 at 09:18:19]:

Of course!

@Badfunc is a software developer based in the UK. He studied Computer Science up to a Masters degree, and then began his career as a video games developer working on a number of titles. Badfunc’s interest in Blockchain began in 2017 after discovering Ethereum, since 2020 he’s solely worked on crypto projects with Von and AdamM building a number of dApps for clients.

@Ses is the latest team member based in the US. His primary role is working on backend architecture for our latest projects, including OuterOrbit. His experience and knowledge in Web lends itself greatly to Badfunc’s expertise in Web3 applications, which has allowed the team to deliver industry-grade blockchain solutions for our clients.

@Von is a professional graphic designer and multimedia artist based in the US. He comes from an education background in Fine Arts and Illustration and over the years has gained a wide range of professional experience working in branding, web design, UI/UX, and virtual/augmented reality.

Lak 🌿 TomoMasterDAO 🌱, [2 Mar 2022 at 09:19:20]:

Seems like you have a solid team with great experience.

Adam, [2 Mar 2022 at 09:20:08]:

Its really great to have such a small team but be so flexible, we have worked on projects for sports, cars, social media platforms, you name it!

Lak 🌿 TomoMasterDAO 🌱, [2 Mar 2022 at 09:20:14]:

Why did you to decide to launch TomoPunks and the NFT marketplace on the TomoChain network?

Adam, [2 Mar 2022 at 09:21:46]:

We stumbled upon TomoChain in research for one of our client prpjects and kept it in mind due to its low cost and scalability potential. We were really interested inhaving the ability to finally put all NFT data on-chain and to be able to pay for gas fees using tokens via the TomoZ protocol.

Through the TomoPunks project we were impressed by community support around the launch and minting. We became excited with the idea of bringing more value and culture to this early ecosystem ultimately creating a space where minting NFTs is fun, easy, fast, and affordable — creating a platform that is good for established artists and undiscovered artists alike

Lak 🌿 TomoMasterDAO 🌱, [2 Mar 2022 at 09:23:46]:

Great stuff. It’s nice to be able to mint NFTs without paying the crazy fees like Ethereum.

How do you think the future of the NFT space will evolve?

Adam, [2 Mar 2022 at 09:25:23]:

I think one important role TOMO plays in the future of the NFT space is the ability to store data on chain, it was something super interesting to us when we started working on TomoPunks and believe it to be a great innovation in the NFT space as it completely cuts out having to use external services such as IPFS.

Furthermore, we want to make NFTs fun for the average holder of cryptocurrency — we dont believe in $60 transaction fees as that sort of money is not viable for the average person, thus with TomoChain’s super low fees we can make the experience of minting and trading NFTs so much more fun. We believe this to be one of the reasons for the success of TomoPunks as the mint price is exactly what you pay — not a penny on top for the transaction.

I think OuterOrbit can really lead that drive for low-cost, super-fun NFTs.

Lak 🌿 TomoMasterDAO 🌱, [2 Mar 2022 at 09:26:14]:

Yeah it’s great to have those low gas fees making it accessible for everyone.

How do you think OuterOrbit will contribute to the broader TomoChain ecosystem?

Adam, [2 Mar 2022 at 09:29:18 (2 Mar 2022 at 09:29:55)]:

We hope to provide a platform for users, artists, development teams, and the like to create their own collections on OuterOrbit, driving traffic toward the TomoChain. Since the conception of TomoPunks we have seen more and more NFT projects bloom on TomoChain and we cannot wait for all of these projects to be tradeable on OuterOrbit.

We too are fans of crypto x gaming and are excited to see the development of Degen Buffalos, and hope to list those too on OuterOrbit!

Lak 🌿 TomoMasterDAO 🌱, [2 Mar 2022 at 09:30:21]:

Yeah great. Let’s build a strong TomoChain network together

Adam, [2 Mar 2022 at 09:30:37]:

Love that mindset 🔥

Lak 🌿 TomoMasterDAO 🌱, [2 Mar 2022 at 09:30:47]:

Let’s move on to the questions from twitter

@amorescinema·

What are the actual obstacles to launch your platform on Tomo?

Do you plan to launch your own collections?

Adam, [2 Mar 2022 at 09:31:25]:

To address your first question,

There is currently a lack of developer tools available to developers for things such as Oracles deployed on TomoChain, thus we have had to resort to developing some of our solutions, which has lengthened the development process.

Because of the small size of the Tomochain, we foresee a potential obstacle in attracting artists to mint on the platform. To combat this we’ve decided to curate the projects on OuterOrbit to ensure the marketplace is one of interesting projects, unique artwork, and undiscovered artists — not a place riddled with scams, rugpulls, etc.

Another obstacle we have struggled with is our capacity as a team. We only have 4 team members, of which only two are programmers. We work on other projects outside of TomoChain to pay our bills, etc., which can be quite time consuming; However, we plan to spend a lot more time on OuterOrbit and continue expanding our team — the funding from TomoMasterDAO will be greatly beneficial in this regard.

Regardless of the obstacles, we feel that our capability and experience as a team combined with the technology of Tomochain and the support of the community, DAO, etc., OuterOrbit will be a success and bring much needed value, culture, and activity to Tomochain.

To address your second question,

Hell yes! We still have a lot of work to get OuterOribt to where we want, and we can’t get distracted from the main goal! However the TomoPunks experience was really rewarding and we have some great artistic talent on our team that we’re excited to see minted on the platform. Regardless of our more personal NFT plans, we can’t wait to see the collections the community launches on OuterOrbit.

Lak 🌿 TomoMasterDAO 🌱, [2 Mar 2022 at 09:33:14 (2 Mar 2022 at 09:33:33)]:

Working in a small team does pose some challenges with time but can be effective for working towards a common goal.

@FuryPrimate

In the digital world, Copyright protection is extremely important. So how does it work? How is it guaranteed that you (or the system) know who is the real owner of an NFT in the Marketplace? And what if people create the same NFT, but change tiny details, how can we distinguish?

Adam, [2 Mar 2022 at 09:34:33]:

We believe this is a huge issue in the current NFT world. You see the biggest public, open platforms riddled with copyright infringement, theft, and scams. Because OuterOrbit is a curated platform that requires application to mint, we will be doing our due diligence to make sure the listed artists and projects are legitimate and we can verify to the best of our ability that their projects are their own, authentic work.

Lak 🌿 TomoMasterDAO 🌱, [2 Mar 2022 at 09:35:29]:

Interesting. It’s good to have that extra layer of security from your team

@luckydraw66

Community support is by far one of the biggest factors for the success of a project. What has the OuterOrbit planned on increasing the user experience?

Adam, [2 Mar 2022 at 09:36:53]:

We believe that the success of OuterOrbit will be heavily dependent on the quality of the NFTs on the platform. Cool art will sell, bad art won’t! We will be reaching out to a wide variety of artists and offering incentives to mint collections or individual pieces on OuterOrbit, to get the ball rolling on marketplace content.

We also pride ourselves in creating excellent User Experience by ensuring the platform is fast, easy, and enjoyable to use and free from glitches, bugs, etc.

Lak 🌿 TomoMasterDAO 🌱, [2 Mar 2022 at 09:37:32]:

Great. Looking forward to seeing it in action

@hauhau1166

What is the business model of OuterOrbit ? How does the OuterOrbit project generate revenue for project development?

Adam, [2 Mar 2022 at 09:38:20]:

Our aim with OuterOrbit is primarily to create a place that is beneficial to the artists and where people can monetise their artwork! While artists will keep a majority of the income generated, OuterOrbit will take a small percentage of minting and trading transactions. Eventually as the platform gains traction and audience, we will offer tiered promotion packages for projects as they launch.

Lak 🌿 TomoMasterDAO 🌱, [2 Mar 2022 at 09:39:04]:

Sounds great. Now for the last question from twitter

@WehnerVivian

Can you briefly explain how the Top milestones that the The OuterOrbit team aims to execute before the end of this year or going to execute in the future, will help you succeed and What you may look like in 2022 and beyond?

Adam, [2 Mar 2022 at 09:39:58]:

Our primary goal right now is to finish the updates planned to release at the end of February. We’ve admittedly had some delays in the programming timeline amidst balancing client work but we are still working on the Mainnet release.

By the end of the year we have a variety of features we are confident will be live, including Wrapped ETH / bridge integration.

Our long term vision for 2022 and beyond is to be a competitive, fun-to-use platform that has many unique NFT projects and art. We hope to be instrumental in introducing NFT creators and collectors to TOMO and providing a simple UX that minimizes friction for onboarding users from other blockchains and platforms as well as first-time NFT artists and fans. The idea is that OuterOrbit is the frontier of the NFT world…. a unique internet venue that is synonymous with unique quality projects, undiscovered artists, and a fun social experience.

Lak 🌿 TomoMasterDAO 🌱, [2 Mar 2022 at 09:40:43]:

Good development work does take some time! Thanks for joining us Adam!

Adam, [2 Mar 2022 at 09:41:08]:

Anytime, take care now.
