Facebook keeping pace with Google in design

Facebook has changed the design language by rolling out a new version of chatroom for desktop device yesterday. The release will be seen as a step forward to show a consistency in the social giant’s design.

The changes are as follows:
a). The default color is light blue now (the same as mobile’s).
b). Layouts is more clean and rounder.
c). The color schemes are high-brightness.
d). The icons are changed.

Inevitably, Facebook keeping pace with Google’s design language. Google shows the consistency among their products after introducing Material Design. Most designers would agree to the products of Mark’s company were ugly and old-school in design. But now, Facebook’s strategic move might change their thoughts.
