The new curriculum (what I’ve seen of it thusfar) is a monumental improvement over the old. Everyone who worked on it has my deepest admiration — just going through the first “cert” alone, the early focus on the core html and css you’d use every day “on the job” is fantastic. DOCTYPE is finally mentioned, there are decent sections on flexbox and grid. It’s awesome.
To my mind, deploying a vastly improved curriculum in a UI that is, frankly, horrible shows a profound lack of respect for the curriculum developers’ hard work. Plus, it sets a bad example for the people attempting to learn on the site. How can anyone expect to learn web development well from a site with horrible UX and a UI that looks … well, you know how it looks.
