7 Reasons Why @KatieMcGintyPA Had A Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad February

After receiving just 7% of the vote in her uninspiring run for governor in 2014, Katie McGinty is once again proving she’s a flawed candidate in her 2016 U.S. Senate campaign.

Here’s the rundown of McGinty’s terrible, horrible, no good, very bad month of February.

February 2nd: Katie McGinty was caught lying twice in just 48 hours

Less than 48 hours after McGinty was caught lying about her contributions from the oil and gas industry, The Patriot-News’s John Micek called out McGinty’s campaign for lying about more campaign contributions!

To make matters worse, one day later Hillary Clinton lied to voters in New Hampshire about the same exact topic.

February 11th: Katie McGinty’s campaign Chair praises her opponent

McGinty’s campaign Chair, former Governor Ed Rendell, praised her primary opponent in a feature story in The Patriot-News.

While McGinty’s campaign walked back Rendell’s comments, the damage was done!

February 14th: Katie McGinty was once again caught lying about her campaign contributions

Just two weeks after McGinty was caught lying about her support from the oil and gas industry, she doubled down on the lie in an interview on NBC Philadelphia’s “@Issue.”

February 16th: Katie McGinty files with half the signatures as Joe Sestak — and less than a third the signatures as Pat Toomey received

Proving that the Democrat grassroots was once again rejecting her statewide campaign, Joe Sestak filed for U.S. Senate with nearly twice the nomination petition signatures as Katie McGinty.

Even worse for McGinty, Pat Toomey more than tripled the number of nomination petition signatures that he filed!

February 19th: Ed Rendell strikes again — revealing that Katie McGinty’s campaign fundraising is floundering

Less than a week after the Democrat grassroots rejected McGinty’s campaign, now it was the establishment’s turn.

Ed Rendell revealed that McGinty will not have the money to compete with Joe Sestak and sounded the alarm to big money groups to launch ads to bolster McGinty’s floundering campaign.

And for those keeping score at home, these are the same types of big money groups McGinty has constantly decried on the campaign trail.

February 20th: Now it’s the Liberals’ turn to reject Katie McGinty’s campaign

Less than 24 hours after we learned that the Democrat establishment was rejecting McGinty’s campaign, we learned that liberals were rejecting her campaign.

McGinty placed an embarrassing third in the Pennsylvania Progressive Summit straw poll, with more than 72% of liberals voting against her.

February 25th: Voters reject Katie McGinty’s campaign

In the final setback for her campaign in February, we learned that liberal Joe Sestak has been expanding his lead and had nearly double the support of McGinty in the latest Franklin & Marshall poll.
