The credit unions around here are supposed to be great, but have few actual locations. This is problematic for me because my boss still hands me a paper check come payday. Potentially a good app that accepts a photo of a check could resolve this issue (I know a guy whose online-only bank has one), but making deposits via ATM feels so uncomfortable. I feel like I’m going to do it wrong and lose my check somehow.
Also, the process of buying a house required semi-frequent trips to my bank for paperwork and certified checks, which would have been a royal pain.
Do CUs tend to have safety deposit boxes?
