Win a trip to Silicon Valley & pitch the top VCs

After a very successful “Pirates on a Plane”-VC tour last year, where the founders of LeanIX met with the most relevant VCs from Berlin and London, we decided to level up and include San Francisco/Silicon Valley as well.

André Christ, CEO of the 2016 winning startup LeanIX commented: “We had very fruitful meetings with the top VCs from Berlin and London. Everything was perfectly organized & catered to our individual needs. This trip was so much more valuable than a cash-prize. And it helped us on the way to raise our series B.” (Note: LeanIX just announced their Series B this morning)

André received his pitch prize

So, this year the winning team of the “Walk the Plank” pitch competition will not only get a fully paid trip to one of the European startup capitals (London) and pre-arranged meetings with some of the most relevant VCs these days, but we’ll also include the Bay Area in the pitch prize as well. Of course there will be pre-arranged investor meetings, too.

VCs that participated last year. This year we’ll add San Francisco and Silicon Valley.

For the Bay Area we confirmed the following investors already: Accel Partners, Draper Fisher Jurvetson (DFJ), General Catalyst, Happiness Ventures (new $480mm seed/series A SV fund), Mighty Capital…more tba soon

Travel, Accommodation, pre-arranged meetings…everything will be taken care of and you — the winning startup — just needs to deliver your pitch.
