It’s time to introduce the jury members, that will be judging the pitches of our Walk-the-Plank pitch competition. The pitches will start at 10:30am and will continue the whole day until 6:45pm on Sept. 6th at PIRATE Summit. The day after, startups will compete against each other in our semi finals, fighting for the grand pitch prize.

Up to five jury members will judge each pitch session (10 Startups per session) — all of them are actively looking for hot deals and are investing from seed to series A (incl. follow-ups).

To top it all off, we also added two sessions of “Reverse Pitches” on Sept. 6th (Crow’s Nest, 10:00am — 10:30am) and Sept. 7th (Captain’s Deck, 11:00am — 11:30am). Join these stages to see how startups and investors switch sides. Seven to eight investors in each session will present themselves, the industries and stages they’re interested in for 3–5 minutes, like a regular startup pitch. The reverse pitchers are:

“I got 99 problems, but a pitch ain’t one.” — We’re looking forward to some incredible pitches. For the pitching startup who would like to practice their pitch before walking the plank, we have an ARRRsome opportunity for you. On September 5th, you will have the opportunity to get a Pitch Coaching with our Instructor and long-time PIRATE Vidar Andersen.

ARRR and see you soon!
