2016 Accelerator Kicks Off with Intensive Innovation Bootcamp

Vandana Khungar, MD, MSc, Colleen Cook, BSN, RN, and Ann Huffenberger, DBA, RN, sketch out plans for their project aimed at reducing readmissions in cirrhotic and post liver transplant patients.

In October, members of the 2016 Innovation Accelerator class came together for the Center for Health Care Innovation’s second annual Innovation Bootcamp.

Over the course of the afternoon, participants learned about innovation methodologies, mindsets and tools and worked collaboratively with advisors to refine problem definitions and outline initial experiments to rapidly validate assumptions.

Teams will come back together in December to participate in mentoring sessions where they will present their work, discuss key insights, and define next steps.
