Mitesh Patel receives 2016 Health Care Innovator Award
Mitesh Patel was recently honored at Philadelphia Business Journal’s Health Care Innovator Awards, an annual event recognizing individuals and companies disrupting the health care and industry and solidifying Philadelphia’s reputation as a hub for innovation.
As director of the Penn Medicine Nudge Unit, a first-of-its-kind program to be implemented within a health system, Patel leverages concepts from behavioral economics to design and test interventions that steer providers and patients toward better decisions to improve health care delivery and outcomes.
