POPVOX/TN: We are GO for Launch!

Since POPVOX started back in 2010 to connect people with their lawmakers in Congress, we have received hundreds of requests for state versions. We got the message. This week, we are kicking off with POPVOX Tennessee!

The POPVOX Tennessee pilot features five issues that may come up in the next General Assembly session. Selected to provide a range of topics, the highlighted issues provide an opportunity for anyone to “support” or “oppose” and share their input with lawmakers. (POPVOX never takes positions on any legislation.)

2. Choose to “support” or “oppose.” You can either stop there by adding your choice to the POPVOX count, OR
3. Write a message to lawmakers. POPVOX delivers your message to your lawmakers.

• Will my real name show? Not unless you make that your screen name. POPVOX defaults to an anonymous “Constituent#” screen name, so you have that choice.
• Will my lawmaker know who I am? Yes! Your real name and contact information is sent to your lawmaker so they know you are a real constituent and can contact you about your message.
• Do lawmakers care? Yes. That’s the whole reason we built POPVOX. Lawmakers care a lot about what their constituents think. You are their employer! They just don’t care what THE WHOLE INTERNET thinks. That’s why it’s important for POPVOX to place you in the right district and help them know you are really their constituent.
• Does POPVOX share my information? Not with anyone other than your lawmakers. Check out our privacy policy.
