DIY Electric Go-Kart Build by YouTubers NUTSTUFF
DIY builders NUTSTUFF’s motto, “We make stuff that’s nuts”, including a high-powered, 15,000-watt custom electric go-kart
NUTSTUFF’s electric go-kart is built from scratch.
Loosely based on the electric go-kart shown by SurRonster on his YouTube channel, YouTubers NUTSTUFF‘s DIY electric go-kart is a journey before the first ride.
Starting off, NUTSTUFF’s go-kart frame is custom built.
The NUTSTUFF build employs custom suspension components and a steering rack bought off eBay. The electric go-kart has an E brake connected to the rear axle, and there is relay that allows riders to shut the power off in case of emergency or anything unexpected.
The prize is the 15000-watt custom battery. Capable of delivering 15 KW of power, NUTSTUFF built it by salvaging 36V 5200mAh batteries from two retired manufacturing robots via Battery Hookup. All this power in the custom case weighs in at about 50 lbs and cost them under $500. (Find out more about building NUTSTUFF’s electric go-kart battery on their YouTube channel here.)
With NUTSTUFF official mascot Ellie’s approval the guy’s were ready to take their electric go-kart for a spin. Literally.
And as the saying goes, one good go-kart spin deserves another.
